Nipakawa Steiner School is a brand-new initiative, located in the beautiful Southern Beaches of Lutruwita, Tasmania. Nipakawa opened its doors this year with a combined Kinder/Prep and a Class 1. We plan to expand our early childhood centre and create a strong foundation for the future growth of the school. Due to very strong demand in the early years, we are looking to create several new roles.
Prep Teacher 1.0 / Kindy Teacher 0.6
You will be an experienced Steiner educator OR have a strong connection to Steiner education and have a willingness to develop your skills and understanding of Steiner pedagogy. You will have (or be eligible for) teacher registration in Tasmania, have a current WWVP card and First Aid qualification.

Business Manager

Nipakawa Steiner School is a fledgling school located in the beautiful Southern Beaches of Lutruwita, Tasmania. We support two Playgroups and offer a combined Kinder/Prep and a Class 1, with plans for strong and sustainable growth.
We are seeking a Business Manager to provide financial oversight, including budgeting and forecasting, to support the management team and the Board with their decision making.
The position is currently one day per week and will increase with the growth of the school. You will have accounting, finance or business experience, optimally in a school setting. Experience overseeing maintenance and facilities management would be advantageous. You will have a current WWVP card. Remuneration will be commensurate with experience.

Accounts & Payroll Officer

Nipakawa Steiner School is a fledgling school located in the beautiful Southern Beaches of Lutruwita, Tasmania. We support two Playgroups and offer a combined Kinder/Prep and a Class 1, with plans for strong and sustainable growth.
We are seeking an Accounts Officer to oversee accounts receivable and payable, invoicing parents, and payroll. You may be required to contribute to front office administration, from time to time.
The position is currently one day per week and will increase with the growth of the school. You will have bookkeeping experience, optimally in a school setting, and a current WWVP card. Remuneration will be commensurate with experience.

Casual Relief Register 2026 and 2027
Nipakawa Steiner School opened its doors in 2026, with two Playgroups, a combined Kinder/Prep and a Class 1, in the beautiful Southern Beaches of Tasmania.
We are interested in hearing from teachers and teacher aides who have experience in Steiner education, are connected with Steiner education or who are interested in developing their skills in Steiner pedagogy. You may be looking to develop your understanding of Steiner education, with the thought of working with us in future.
